Labour butts into wrong conversation

LABOUR'S Big Conversation website has prompted a flood of visits - to a different site with the same name. The other Internet site, which has been running for two years, has had more than 5,000 hits in the five days since the Labour launch - far more than it would normally expect. The mix-up occurred because search engine Google is directing surfers to a site run by research consultancy Planetary Tribe. It runs uncensored discussion forums on subjects such as tuition fees and war in Iraq. Director Jamie Roy said: 'After my initial annoyance, I quickly got very excited. By getting its wires crossed, the Government has inadvertently jump-started the genuine Big Conversation.'
