Survey Results and Update Email to all Registered with 'The BIG Conversation'
April 2004
Thanks to everyone who has registered. The first email of 2004 included updates and survey data. You can also view the results here.

Updated Design and Structure
March 2004

The new conversation areas focus on what issues currently 'mean' to people and what would be their 'ideal'. We believe this creates a more open-ended conversation, a greater focus on where common ground lies and opportunities for good ideas to emerge. Previous conversations have been put into an open archive area or a new area for more specialised topics. We hope you like the updated designs on the homepage.
New Feature - DialogueTrack
February 2004
A much needed method for tracking comments. Very easy to use and provides all users with their own personal area listing all their previous comments. Enter my area.
Press - Articles and Scans
November 2003 - present
A range of press reports covering the BIG conversation.
Ongoing Confusion with Labour's Big Conversation
November 2003 - present
Labour have refused to acknowledge any confusion over using the same name and concept. They refused to even say where their name came from. Offers by Planetary Tribe to co-ordinate data received in error, to clarify the situation or for Labour MP's to take part in some way, were ignored or refused. Our figures indicate 10's of thousands may have come to this site in error. Labour refuse to talk with us except through their lawyers and have forced us to explore expensive legal action. The survey findings have been shared with the Labour Party but they have yet to acknowledge them or to respond. Perhaps this is because 95% of people believe the BIG conversation should be free from political control? Many people have been moved by the situation to offer support so we will keep you posted. If you would like to offer support please get in touch. This website has over 50 times more comments to view (and respond to) than Labour's conversation. Thanks to everyone who has supported a free, open and independent BIG conversation. View emails and comments meant for The Labour Party.
Introduction of the Sin-Bin
December 2003
Faced with the need to balance non-censorship with wishing to maintain a high quality forum area we introduced the 'sin-bin'. Any comments we feel are designed to intentionally disrupt, go against our guidelines or may be illegal are moved to the sin-bin area. If people wish to read and respond in the sin bin area they can but these will not be allowed to clog up the main forum areas. Let us know of any comments you feel we should place here.
Dialogue v Debate
December 2003
A new link on the home-page to highlight the important differences between dialogue and debate.
New Survey A new survey will be up on the site in early 2005.
